Sobre Nosotros - About Us

We are Mónica and Aníbal. Us and together we design and build all the paper models that you can find on our blog. You are warmly welcome!

The paper model making, in the way we see it from "Edificios de Papel", is the result of a process that bundles many of our favourite hobbies: drawing, design, photography, wargames , miniature electric trains, graphics ... and countless other things.

This process begins with the identification of buildings, along with the imaging and conversion into 3d, to finally get to the development of the 2d model, ready to be printed and assembled, ready for fun!

We are aware of the difficulty of getting material for dioramas and games outside the big cities and how Internet is facilitating access to these resources, making them available to everyone all around the globe. But still, every hobby, no matter how cheap it is, usually means that lot of time and money is required even if we can not always afford it. That's when the imagination steps in to provide us with buildings or houses for our dioramas and our model railways without it being too painful for the pocket.

"Edificios de Papel" is born with the aim of providing simple and inexpensive solutions to model making and miniatures fans, value adding the photo-realism of the facades of buildings. Who does not have at home paper and scissors?

Thanks to the photographic textures of our designs, we go one step beyond the cut-outs that we used to do when we were children, those endearing paper houses that gave us a lot of fun despite its tremendous simplicity.

Paper, cardboard and glue, together with the time and patience that all of all good lovers of miniatures use to invest in your projects, may provide results to challenge any other materials finishing, such as plastic, resin or wood, which will always be more expensive.

Plain and simple materials realistically photo-finished allow that buildings which are not possible in other material, come into reality in your hands and at home. The results can be amazing. We still dare to propose this alternative even knowing that many of you are true specialists in model making - we want you to give it a try and see for yourself. Build up one of these buildings and be amazed.
